CFAN Chinese Theatre Group

The name of our group, “Cfan” means Chinese fantasy, which reveals our hope to reveal the beauty of Chinese culture to our audience of diversity, by presenting plays in Mandarin Chinese. This name is also a transliteration from the Chinese word meaning “love the mundane world”. We view theater art not as something unattainable, but rather close to everyone and everyday life—the treasure of the mundane world. We are a family for all who love and enjoy this form of art, and also a group where you can get your thoughts expressed and your voice heard. Cfan Theatre Group officially starts in Feb. 2nd 2012. With the help and support of many friends who are interested in theater, we have grown to a group of over 40 members. We offer dramatic demonstration activities, screenplay reading and discussion, workshops on general background of theater, directing and acting, as well as performance opportunities for short plays.
