Harambee Council, The

The Harambee Council consists of active student organizations that address the needs of individuals of Afrikan descent. The Harambee Council includes community service organizations and projects that operate both within the structure of the Community Programs Office and independently. Harambee Council membership is restricted to organizations that are student-initiated and student-led. The Harambee Council consists of all elected ASU administrative staff and one representative of each 24 black/Afrikan undergraduate and graduate organizations, Black Alumni, Black Faculty and Staff (for advisement purposes). A Harambee Council organization is defined as one, which represents a unique need or interest of individuals of Afrikan descent.
