Armenian Dance Group at UCLA
The Armenian Dance Group (ADG) at UCLA is a cultural organization on campus that strives to teach its members about the Armenian culture, history, music, costumes, and traditional values through dance. ADG at UCLA is open to all students regardless of race, age, sex, sexual orientation, creed, national origin, religion, physical handicap, or campus origin. Founded in 2012 by 3 students, Lyolya Hovhannisyan, Paytsar Topchyan, and Armine Sanosyan, ADG at UCLA has since collaborated with many other student groups on campus and has been invited to participate in many events held both on and off campus including the annual cultural festival held by ASA at UCLA, the World Music and Movement Festival in 2013, The Student of Color Conference in 2013, and a Cultural Night hosted by the Armenian Youth Federation, Crescenta Valley chapter.
