United Nations Youth Association at UCLA
We urge youth to actively participate as global citizens to enhance the relationship between UCLA students and the United Nations by aligning on greater youth involvement to raise public awareness of the United Nations and promote the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations. We will serve as a partnership organization across campus to engage student groups to work together in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. With a focus on active youth involvement in areas of public health and politics, we attempt to shape global citizens who are concerned with the multifaceted issues facing civilians locally and internationally. In a globalizing world, we want to create awareness about the multiple dimensions in solving international crises. By working on each of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, we strive to engage students in an organization that has a global impact and addresses issues that may not necessarily be directly linked to their major. Students can apply their area of expertise to a particular project for a Development Goal, but the student will also see how politics, health, education, and other factors impact today’s problems.
