Bhasha: Indian Language Club
The mission of Bhasha is to promote linguistic mastery of Indian language. We are a group of students who deeply value our native languages. Most of us have limited formal training in our native languages and so we welcome language students of all levels and ages. By learning our language we hope to preserve this integral part of who we are. Through regular meetings, members work together creatively towards the goal of mastering our native tongue. Bhasha will launch with a focus on learning Malayalam, the language of the Indian state of Kerala; the word bhasha translates to language in Malayalam. As the organization grows, we hope to expand to include the study of other Indian languages such as Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi.
