Justice Work Group

We are a coalition of students, faculty, and community members focused on education, awareness and advocacy around the prison industrial complex, and developing a university center for justice. Our mission is having interdisciplinary collaboration and movement. We are students with various backgrounds and collaborate with outside organizations that focus on bringing justice to those who are formerly and currently incarcerated. UCLA’s goals of expanding and diversifying its student population, and its broader service mission will be served by investing in incarcerated women’s education prior to their release and incarcerated youth’s college preparation.
