UndocuNurses at UCLA
UndocuNurses at UCLA focuses on three primary objectives: creating a safe and inclusive space for our undocumented student population, retaining our current/future students pursuing a nursing career, and advocating for the equal representation of our undocumented community within the current healthcare system Specifically, we hope to create a safe space for our students by raising awareness among the nursing community about the AB-540 legislation, the DREAM ACT, DACA, and related legislations that shape and impact the lives of our student community. At the same time, we will aim to facilitate access to resources and to guide undocumented students through the admissions process as well as other nursing opportunities and resources to ensure our students graduate promptly from their desired nursing program. Lastly, we hope to continue to advocate for our undocumented community through our community health outreach component.
