Grupo Estudiantil Oaxaqueño

Grupo Estudiantil Oaxaqueño (GEO) brings students who were born or raised in Oaxaca, México or who are from Oaxacan heritage, together in an effort to exhibit and preserve our culture. Our goal is to provide a space where we can socialize and preserve our cultural practices, through the annual event of the Guelaguetza, which we host. The Guelaguetza allows for Oaxacan and non-Oaxacan communities to interact and become more aware of the traditions in Oaxacan culture as well as issues that affect the Oaxacan community.
