Global Medical Brigades at UCLA

Global Medical Brigades is a division of Global Brigades, Inc., a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and the world’s largest student-led international relief organization. Global Brigade’s mission is to provide rural communities with sustainable solutions under a holistic service model, in order to improve health, water, sanitation and economic infrastructures. Specifically, UCLA’s Global Medical and Dental Brigades’ coordinate together to provide urgent and preventative medical and dental services to underprivileged communities in underserved countries that have limited access to healthcare. On average, each UCLA brigade successfully treats nearly 1000 patients over the course of a week by providing general medical, dental, gynecology and optometry services.
