Poetry Garden at UCLA, The

Purpose: 1. To create a safe space for writers and thinkers to practice listening, writing, and public speaking. 2. To encourage members to establish deep, genuine emotional connections with themselves and others in the poetry community. 3. To act as a medium for the members to express themselves through poetry. 4. To educate members on the impact of poetry on history and society. 5. To develop group workshops and individually counsel members on writing and public speaking.
