We aim to unite UCLA undergraduate students who have been diagnosed with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), either Ulcerative Colitis or Crohn’s Disease, in order to create a strong support network. This network will serve both to support one another and to reach out to younger IBD patients in the greater Los Angeles area. We will also provide opportunities to bond with fellow IBD patients in other fun ways, such as an outdoor adventure game day or a dessert social. We will educate members on how to advocate for themselves and for fellow IBD patients through personal interactions as well as through the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America and Connecting to Cure Crohn’s and Colitis. We will fundraise for these non-profit organizations to raise the funds necessary for IBD research.
