Disability Studies Student Association (DSSA)

We aim to create a space for students interested in the Disability Studies minor to build a strong community among like-minded individuals. We will take active steps to break down the stigma surrounding disability in order to create a more inclusive atmosphere on and off campus for individuals with disabilities. By questioning and bringing attention to institutional barriers and ableist attitudes, we will initiate productive discussions that will cause meaningful change. In addition, we will seek out social activists, policy influencers, and other professionals in the field of Disability Studies to garner an understanding of their perspectives, as well as insight into career prospects.
